Joe Ashton
Joe is the founder of Ashton Pools by Design and the creative mind behind all of our designs.
What do you do in your down time?
I try to take advantage of the beach life as much as I can. I like to swim in the ocean in the morning, and I love relaxing at the beach on Sundays with our friends and family. In the winter, I watch hockey and cheer on the Flyers. Additionally, my wife and I love art. We enjoy wandering into galleries, finding a great piece on a wall at a local restaurant, or admiring the collection at the Rehoboth Art League. I am also starting to travel more and to experience different cultures.
What has been one of your favorite jobs?
I’ve had the honor of working on so many residential and commercial projects over the years. We did the hardscaping and landscaping for the Rehoboth Beach Museum. Additionally, we designed and constructed a war memorial in Willow Grove, PA full of fountains and natural stone. It was a wonderfully peaceful space once it was complete. Moreover, the team did a beautiful job on Pilottown Road in Lewes, a project which we undertook for friends of ours. It was rewarding to see this project come together both professionally and personally, and we continue to enjoy the space with our friends when they hold charity functions and host their loved ones.
