The Ashton Pools by Design sale process begins with an initial conversation to understand your vision and help determine if we’re the right partner for your project. First, we connect with you through your preferred communication method – email or phone. Then, we share our insights about our process and ask questions to learn about your goals and budget.
Step 2: The Value of a Plat Plan
The Role of a Plat Plan in the Design Process
Before visiting your property, we request a plat plan. This essential document outlines crucial details, including HOA restrictions, DNREC lines, wetland locations, house setbacks, and easements. These details cannot be seen with the naked eye out on site. By requesting this upfront, we ensure your project complies with guidelines, saving time and effort later. In doing so, we simplify the permitting process and reduce potential delays.
Step 3: Consultation— Transforming Ideas into Outdoor Living Plans
After reviewing your plat plan, we’ll set up a consultation. Whether in-person at our design studio or via Zoom, this one-hour meeting allows us to share inspiration, ask detailed questions, and answer yours. Together, we’ll explore the possibilities for your outdoor oasis and outline the decisions ahead.
Step 4: On-Site Visit – Evaluating Backyard Potential
Equipped with knowledge from the consultation, we’ll visit your property to assess its layout. During this visit, we’ll evaluate access points, grading changes, and elevation challenges. Seeing the space firsthand helps us develop an informed and creative plan for your project.
Step 5: Budget Planning – Aligning Vision with Investment
It’s time to chat about money again. Now that we have seen your yard and learned what you, your family, and your friends need to have a perfect outdoor living oasis, we are putting rough plans together and working out design ideas based on your budget. Now, we will have a frank conversation about ideas and money, and we will do that on a phone call.
Step 6: Decision Time – Moving Forward with Your Pool Design
Now, the choice is yours. With cost estimates in hand, you decide whether to move forward with the next steps in our process.
Step 7: The Design Retainer—Investing in Excellence
We pour unmatched energy and creativity into our designs, which can take anywhere from 1 day to a week or more to complete. To move into the design phase, we require a retainer: $1,000 for fiberglass and plunge pools and $1,500 for custom gunite pools. When you sign the contract, 50% of this retainer becomes a credit toward your project.
